We’re hiring a Senior Manager, Projects & Policy to support the Director of Programs in delivering strategic initiatives aimed at advancing sustainable finance in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Ensuring the alignment of programs with our strategic objectives
Building our reputation by developing insights and positively influencing policies to support sustainable finance
Position: Senior Manager, Projects and Policy
Location: Auckland New Zealand
Reports to: Director, Programs
Salary band: $125k-$165k
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver multiple projects and policy initiatives (c.50% of the role)
Lead complex project and policy engagements. This may range from development of sustainable finance frameworks and guidance through to catalysing innovative financing solutions at a sector level and sharing knowledge that accelerates sustainable finance progress.
Ensure delivery of agreed, high-quality project outputs and outcomes, utilizing robust monitoring and reporting frameworks
Document processes, methodologies and key learnings from projects
Manage delivery partners and suppliers
2. Provide strategic input and thought leadership (c.20% of the role)
Contribute to our policy and research agenda, writing high-quality reports and policy briefs
Write/prepare thought leadership, submissions and industry-led guidance
Ensure alignment of our projects with Government priorities
Identify opportunities for our projects and engagement on policy
Contribute to our advocacy efforts, promoting policies and practices that support sustainable finance.
3. Stakeholder management and partnership development (c.20% of the role)
Work closely with the Director of Programs to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships, including senior executives from financial institutions, government agencies, financial services providers, iwi, non-profits
Actively seek and foster the inclusion of Māori perspectives in our projects, programs, events and initiatives.
Support the Director of Programs to represent the Centre in external forums, conferences, and working groups
Identify partnership opportunities to supplement the resources and reach of our projects and programs
4. Team and culture (c.10% of the role)
Support the development of a collaborative, inclusive and supportive team and culture
Manage a small team of analysts and project managers
Skills and experience:
Extensive experience in policy development and project management, ideally with a focus on sustainable development, financial innovation or a related field
Understanding of sustainable finance policy, frameworks and regulatory environment
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build keep people on track and focused on outcomes
Several years of experience in a managerial role
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in finance, environmental science, public policy, or a related discipline.
